I purchased at NetGear Wireless Router, via Outpost.com on 9/8/04. A rebate amount in the amount of $40 was offered. I mailed the completed rebate form, a copy of the shipping receipt from Outpost.com, and the UPC from the product box on 9/10/04.
Never received a check, nor any acknowledgement. Went to "wheresmyrebate.com", as instructed on form, and discovered that the site isn't showing that my submission even exists, after 6 weeks, and a CSR I spoke with also confirmed that there was no such submission.
After researching TCA Fulfillment, the rebate service company, I was made aware that there has been a multitude of problems with TCA regarding their fulfillment, or denial of rebates. See www.fatwallet.com - "Forums" (search TCA) for additional insight (35 pages long).
I've also complained to the retailer, Outpost.com, and the manufacturer, NetGear.
I've also forwarded an e-mail to the NY State Attorney General office to see if an investigation can be started.
I would encourage others to do the same.
