I have been receiving ambiguous phone messages from a Jack Arthur, at home on my voicemail during the day while I'm at work.

I have tried to call this gentleman back a few times only to be told he's gone for the day or he's in a meeting (2 seconds after I had him put into my voicemail at work)

I called back and spoke with a Stacy Lee who told me that it was regarding a Citibank card that was over 9 years old. It has been charged off, is not appearing on my credit report, so therefore is dead and gone to me. She said they've been trying to reach me and this is the first time I've contacted them (lie) I told her I don't return ambiguous phone messages if I don't know who is leaving them.

I told her that she cannot try and collect and don't call me at work. I told her they can contact me by mail.

She said they sent letters. They did not.

She said that the statute of limitations of 7 years only barrs them from taking judiciary action against me but they can try and collect from me until I pay the money.

Can someone offer advice to what to say to them the next timme they call. Because I know there will be a next time.

I get all flustered and forget what you've all said on here and end up sounding like a blubbering idiot.
