In Novemeber of 2010 I was in the middle of a divorce and knew that I needed a good education. I decided I wanted to work in the medical field as biller and coder. I went to Charter College. I graduated with honors and was always on the deans list.
I gave everything I had to this process.in the middle of our education we were encouraged to switch to the Hospital Information Technology program. We were told that we could work all over from hospitals to clinics to rehab facilities. The majority of my class switched over.
Towards the end of school, I began inquiring about the state certification we were promised in this field. I was told the school is not allowed to proctor the test and will not pay for us to get the materials to study nor would they pay for the test itself over 300.00.
I have voiced my concerns to the assistant Dean because no one can get to the Dean.
