I graduated from Bryman when it was still called that. I graduated from the School that was in Brookline before they moved it to Brighton and it became Everest. I had a hard time for many different reasons. One when it was time to do my externship I got placed in Wellesley and it was at this Geriatric office. I was the only African American person there and the people in the office made me clean toilets, empty trash and clean out supply closets. When I kept complaining about that wasn't what I went to school for they finally let me do the things I had been taught in school. But they were still very racist towards me. I complained to the school externship coordinator and she said she would fix it. I asked her if I could transfer somewhere else. So they transferred me but made me start my hours all over again. I didn't think that was fair. I was almost done and the fact that they treated me like janitorial wasn't my fault. Anyway, I managed to finish and graduated and have yet to work in that field. Neither has a friend of mine who graduated with me. They said work was guaranteed and that they helped with job placement. But they didn't. And I still have to pay off a loan for something that got me nothing? Rip off!
