Roadmaster Truck Driving School
Got me where it hurts

This is to inform any future students who wish to use Road master Truck Driving School as a way to get there CDL. I am here to warn you that they do use a sort of Bait and Switch method to make you attend their school. As most recruiters at this school will tell you, and I sure have the emails to prove it, its no money down if you get a pre hire from one of THERE COMPANIES they use to send students.

From what I read in a few online forums, from instructors who have worked there, the company gets a Kick Back if they send there students from Road masters to there company, etc: Swift, US Express, TMC, Werner, but I don't know this for a fact, its just what I heard. It is NOT UNTIL YOUR THIRD WEEK that you will find out you have to "" put some money down for the tuition, min. Of $1500 OR THEY WILL NOT LET YOU TEST OUT!!!

O, and if you have bad credit, don't even brother coming here, they'll kick you out until you have a co-signer with good credit, now remember, you wont find this out till the LAST week your in school, see where I'm getting, your all excited about becoming a Truck Driver, you got your permit, all your drives in, now you got to test out, but wait, you got to see the Admissions Rep first!

Now when you see her, if you don't have the money, or good credit, or even if you have good credit, you still need to put down $1500, but if you don't have it, guess what? You don't get to take your final exam, yeah... Sorta messed up as most students who are here, are broke, financially hurting, and are desperate to do anything to get there CDL, BAM... THEY GOT YOU! See where I'm getting?

I heard from a guy who was in my class when I attended today, that he got a local job that paid very well and he didn't have to go OTR. My buddy said that they threatened him by sending his loan over to collections since he didn't go with one of the schools they recruit to. Thats pretty damn messed up and the reason why Im writing this.

My man hasn't even received his first bill and they stated that they will send him to collections, just because he didn't go with one of the companies the school works with, really? Turns out Roadmaster Corporate Office states YOU DO NOT have to work for one of the companies the school works with, just as long as your using your CDL for a driving job, OTR or local and the loan company can verify it. Apparently the issue was resolved when he seek legal action regarding the issue.

please read this 1st article from the school which im posting below, it clearly states, you do not have to put a down payment for the loan!!! Roadmaster, this is from your website...

I agree, a Class Action Lawsuit for unfair business practice needs to be started. I do want to state the trainers are GREAT at teaching you the skills you need to obtain your CDL, but when it came down to the admissions part, I felt hopeless to continue with the program, even though, I was offered several Pre Hire letters from companies, I just didn't have the 1500 down payment and credit to get my CDL I worked so hard for.

Wasted all that time and no CDL. I do at least have my Permit and a friends owns a Truck, so I will be taking a state test in my home state, and yes, I re-took my permit in my home state, since the knowledge was still fresh on my mind. Once again, these are my thoughts and opinions and from what I read online. The school is a GREAT place to learn, if they could structure their Finance and Admissions process, this place might not be all that bad.

If you don't believe me, here's some other articles to back up my statements... BE CAREFUL
