Stay away from this scam artist who will rip you off when selling watches. Here is the fully documented situation I experienced with this scam artist who conned me out of $2785.00 United States Currency. He is a sneaky thief who should be avoided.
This con artist named John Holbrook approached me by email address using the guise that he wanted to "borrow" one of my watches to do a story about it. Let me say that I am an expert in watches and buy and sell them all of the time. I inspect them thoroughly and clean them even internally. I inspected this watch and it was ready for sale when Mr. Holbrook contacted me to do an article on it. It is the Rolex Submariner.
After he received it he then contacted me within a few days to report "bad news" to me. The bad news was that he says my watch was a fake. So he switched it out. I have done hundreds of transactions on ebay and the various watch boards and am a member for ten years from the NAWCC. I bought that watch pre-owned. I inspected it, cleaned it, openened it to check the movement and everything. It was completely authentic. So then he sent me a fake one back. He stole my watch and sent me a fake one back. How can I prove it? I can't. I have contacted the US Postal Service, FBI, and my local police, but they all say that I can't prove it. He conned me and will probably try to do the same to you as well. Don't deal with this con artist. John Holbrook will steal your money and your watches and will laugh about it.
