I purchased two books ISBN 0-596-00643-8 Network Security and 1-932266-83-6 Hardware Hacking at Fry's, CA, on June 11 on a rebate promotion for $15 each. I checked the rebate status online on July 11 and found that my rebate are denied for the reason "Same receipt was used by more than one customer". But on the rebate submission form where clearly states that "Limit TWO rebates per person, receipt, household, family or address". And this is how many I submitted for my rebates.
What ridiculous is that even if I had to be turned down for the rebates because of the above reason, it doesn't make sense that they would turn down all 2 of my rebate instead of either one, if as what they said "Same receipt can be used once".

I called them a few times, but either the call waited forever, or the phone rep was extremely RUDE and IMPATIENT when I finally had the call went thru. I wouldn't like to call it a scam if they responded more professionally. Feeling no difference dealing between a book publisher and a junk yard.
I am a frequent purchaser of rebate products, got 99% rebate checks back every now and then. Things just can't go wrong on my part.
