Smart Savings has committed a fraudulent transaction on my credit card. I spoke with Jeff Albright on the phone and after refusing and his fast talking I was told that I had three (3) days to change my mind and if after thinking it over, I changed my mind and called within three (3) business days, he would cancel my charges. This was on Friday, June 25. On Monday, June 28 I called to cancel. I spoke with a woman named Robin, both with my credit card information and to cancel. During the initial credit card authorization, she stated that she was taping the conversation. She repeated that I had three days to cancel. I asked her to repeat that and she did.
After cancelling on the first business day, Jeff called me and said he was not letting me out. He and I argued that I had three days, as he stated and that I would report him if he charged my cards. I returned the package of information that was sent to me. I did open it to see the contract, which I wrote "Refused" in large letters across both pages. Therefore, I have signed nothing and returned the information package, with a receipt of them receiving it.
I am now trying to get my money back through my charge cards by filing a fraudulent claim against them. I printed their advertisement page from the internet which makes many fause claims: #1: Free Website, actually costs $6100.00. #2: "Instant Online Business-Building Toolkit.", nothing and no information was given. I was told that the "Toolkit" would be given by my "coach" who would call me within a week. He called, showed me how to set up a webpage and he would call me back in a week -NOTHING was given for me to sell - as advertised.
#3: Package also includes free Web Hosting! My coach, Gil, said that he would have to charge me a monthly fee to host my website.
This company is totally fraudulent, making claims that are not honored and refusing to honor their "Right of Refusal" offer, as required by law on a purchase of this size.
