My husband and I attended a John Gray seminar in 2008. It made such a positive difference in our lives. When we heard John had started an executive training program, we were excited to see if they could make a difference in our small chain of regional banks here. The only difference they made was to our bottom line, in the negative direction.
We first spoke to Rich Bernstein at Mars Venus headquarters in Las Vegas. After a series of calls, he sold us a 2day gender training for our staff of 218 employees. I should have trusted my intuition because the whole experience felt sleazy. But since John Gray had helped me so much in the past, I figured this group could too.
The training fell far short however. The trainer made blanket assumptions about men and women in an office setting. They ran through the typical sales cycle and handed out materials that looked over 10 years old.
