I bought a textbook from http://www.textbookx.com for a class. Apparently, during checkout, I somehow signed up for a pop-up of Simple Escapes. I wasn't even aware of doing so. They got my credit card information from TextbookX.com and started billing me $9.95 per month. I didn't check my billing carefully since I usually compare my receipts and this obviously isn't on any of my receipts. So I got charged for about 6 months of $9.95 while absolutely NOTHING. I was told that they'd take of 2 months worth of charges, but that means I paid approximately $40 for NOTHING!!! (We'll see if they even give me back my money). Can an online company get your credit information from a different website? This company is a SCAM!!!
For future references, check out http://www.dealpass.com. Simple Escapes is part of this website. It's such a dispicable way of doing business! What a scam!!!
