It sounded like a really good idea, so I invested. I needed all the help I could get. They promised we would get a return on our money. I had second thoughts and tried to get a refund. They refused. I did receive a benefit to my taxes so I was somewhat relieved.
Then they called for me to send my money for the second "modification". I told them I really didn't feel comfortable with it. They said I signed a contract and was required to complete all 3 "modifications". If I didn't proceed I would be in breach of contract and they would collect; however, it would cost me more and I would not get as much benefit from the program. Since I had actually benefited on my taxes for I went ahead and paid. Then they starting calling for me to invest even more for additional services. I refused. They starting calling several times a day, every day.
They never even sent me the tax information package for them to prepare my tax Returns for 2003 after I was assured several times that they were in the mail. I ended up paying another accountant to prepare my taxes with the information from last years Returns provided to him and the copies of the contracts, etc.
Now I find out NADN is bankrupt and the credits received are no good and I will now probably owe more than I would have to begin with and may not even be able to claim a deduction for the actual out of pocket expenses either. If I do actually have to pay as much as it appears, it will force ME into bankruptcy as well!!
