I was contacted from a number shown on my caller Id that was identified as "Advantage System 416-759-4383", a female who identified herself as Anna at extention 70107 stated that I was pre approved for a Master Card with a $2500 limit at 0% interest for the first five years.
Then the interest would go to 0.1%. She stated that I would be able to do cash advances, tranfer balances from other cards that I may have. I was told I would have to pay a one time fee of $339.15 and I would recieve the card along with a travel voucher for accepting the Master Card. They had all my information including the bank that I use, so, I thought it was a legitimate card. I spoke to a man who identified himself as Dean Howard, and he asked me to repeat all my personal information back to him as this was being recorded for verification purposes. Thats when I got a bad feeling and got worried. I called them back at 866-890-2766 Customer Service and the girl was rude. I told her that I wanted to cancel the card because I didn't feel that this was the card for me.
I was told that she could not cancel the card because my information had not been posted in the computer system. I was told to call back the next business day. I called back as instructed and spoke with a woman who identified herself as "Susan", and was told that I could not cancel because the card was already being processed. I was also informed that in order to discontinue this, I would have to contact my financial institution and STOP PAYMENT. I looked them up and found that the 416-759-4383 number was out of Canada and the 866-890-2766 was connected to Omaha Nebraska and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, so where are they? This scam needs to be caught and I am going to do what ever it takes to get this stopped from happening to anyone again. So you may be going under "Advantage System", a.K.A. "Advantage Plus", a.K.A. "Foundation Financial Resources" YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND BROUGHT TO JUSTICE!!!
