Ripoff payment of $187 for trophy and medal to be awarded never received., maryland

In Feb. 04 I was invited to submit a poem which I did and asked to send $187 for a trophy and medal to be awarded.

Poem was to be read by someone else and displayed at the Convention. The Convention was allegedly to take place in Orlando, Florida in early March. As of today April 3, nary a word from them. Leading me to believe that this was a ripoff.
