I have been taking online classes at this "University" since 2006. During this time the tuition has gone up 70%, customer service has evaporated, and the quality of the product has plummeted. I decided to stop throwing good money after bad when I discovered an extra $600 charge tacked on to my recent tuition payment. It seems that Northcentral University (NCU) has decided to add 1/4 of the $2400 "dissertation fee" to each of the four research classes&a few years before the fee is actually due.
They say that the catalog details this new charge. Basically, these folks are only in "education business" for the money and they will seem to do anything to maximize their revenue and the student be damned. Imagine your credit card company doubles their interest rate and tells you about the change by burying the information on their website. Or, you place a repetitive order for the same merchandise only to find out the vendor has added a huge "handling fee, " you get the idea.
More bad news is in store for students enrolled after December 31. Before doing business with these people, check them out. I would not recommend NCU at any price.
