According to the Texas Eduction Agency District Level Annual DisciplineSummary PEIMS Discipline Data for 2009 Mesquite ISD Expelled to theJuvenile Justice System 29 African Americans and 13 Hispanics. As toother races the report notes N/A.in other words only Blacksand Hispanics got expelled to the Juvenile Justice System.
Similarly, the report notes that 1246 African Americans were SuspendedOut of School but only 658 Whites were Suspended Out of School. (The 2009TEA AEIS report shows that Mesquite ISD has 28.3 % Whites and 25.3 % AfricanAmerican). What??? Almost twice as many African Americans gotSuspended but there is more whites than blacks in the school district? Hmmmmm.
