BlackPlanet.com promotes racial remarks against anyone who is not black.
They seek to create an "us vs them" mentality in an attempt to capitalize on racial tensions.
In one particular article (found at http://newsone.com/nation/newsonestaff2/donald-trump-relationship-the-blacks/)
they go on to imply that anyone who addresses individuals of African American as black is attacking their race. This
is purely hypocritical, since it is well established that blacks address anyone of Caucasian descent (regardless
of national origin) as "whites". When they can learn to address me by my race, and not as "white", I'll address them as Africa Americans.
BlackPlanet.com is a site that capitalizes on racial tensions. They don't truly care about the black community. If they did, they would create positive, encouraging, productive articles.By writing articles intentionally meant to divide races and create racial tensions - BlackPlanet.com is doing a grave disservice to the community.
Their racial overtones and ignorant stances are unacceptable and are a disgrace to African Americans. They should
not be speaking for blacks.
Races are distinct, and in a way should be. Just imagine if all the birds in the world integrated into one races, and there were no more beautiful cranes to look at, or seagulls to feed, or sparrows to hear in the morning.
But...
Although genetic isolation is natural, social isolation does not benefit a unique breed of animal (homo sapien) whose very survival depends upon the acquisition of new information and new perspectives - which we would be deprived of if
we did not work together.
