Before I signed up for an online certificate program at Kaplan, I was told that I could complete the program in 6 months and to sweeten the deal, I was promised a $1000 scholarship.in order to complete the program in 6 months, I was told that financial aid would only cover 2 of the 3 classes my first term and I agreed to pay for the 3rd class out of pocket.
What I was not told until well into the term was that there was no way I could complete the program in 6 months and that it would mess up my financial aid for the remainder of the program.in order to have financial aid pay for my second term, I had to drop the class I paid for in order to take it again to have 2 classes my second term to make me eligible for financial aid.
I was also told I needed to buy expensive software for the first term which was wrong.
