School charges $5,285 for consumers and $4,000 if you go thru the Department of Workforce and Development if you are unemployed.
They give you a course outline of 332.50 hours and the actual hours of the school is 90 hours. The teacher can't teach several subjects including Microsoft Word, Excel and Medical Manager. The course outline said we were going to have hospital billing and we DID NOT.
Was told the school was accredited and it is not per the American Health Information Management Association.
The teacher, Nancy Wilhelm said that health insurance changes yearly and there was nothing to teach. Course outline called for 2 weeks of advanced medical management and insurance - we did not learn anything for the advanced weeks - we actually had to sit there and let the new students that were coming in to the same class catch up. The school put medical billers and medical assistants all in one class.
This school has NO contacts with doctor's offices, hospitals, insurance companies to help place people in jobs.
Students asked the President of the school for help during the course and the president refused to help us.

CDM Institute broke their contract by not teaching what they promised.
This school is nothing more than a certificate mill. You do not have the right credentials to get any kind of job in the medical field.
