Last week, I took the one of the Final Exams. When I asked the Floor Manager about my grade, she told me that I had failed and she shredded it so I needed to retake it. This was in front of two other students. I knew for a fact that I did not fail this exam because I had studied in depth for two weeks prior. Since she "shredded" it, I had no proof that she even graded it. She said that because I had failed it, that if she would have recorded the grade, I would only be able to receive an 80% for the second time I took it. First of all, she has done this on several occasions, with me and other students, so the grade that is recorded is high. I dont know if it is to make the campus look good to the corporate office, but it is not right. When I spoke with the Campus Manager about this situation, she told me that the Floor Manager had told her that she "accidentally" shredded my exam, and that she (the floor manager) was under alot of pressure with everything she had to do, and that is WAS possible that it was an accident. I told the Campus Manager that I wanted to retake the exam with her sitting next to me and that I would answer each question as I did with the first exam that I supposedly failed. I ONLY MISSED 3 questions. Hmmmm. So how could I have possibly failed the first time? When I called Corporate, I spoke with one of the Advisors. I did not get into detail, but did request to speak with someone in the Academics/Cirriculum Department, and she said she knew of no such person, but would research and have someone call me back. Several days later, with no return call, I decided to call her back to find out the status. The advisor refused to put me in contact with the department I had requested to speak with and said that she forwarded my request to the Area Manager and that she should be contacting me soon. I have yet to hear from her, and due to other past situations that I have voiced my concerns about, do not expect to hear back from her, nor expect any disciplinary actions to take place in regards to the Floor Managers' actions. I think my next recourse will be to write a formal complaint to the SC Dept of Labor, Lincensing and Regulation to report the unresolved issue.
