I'm a consumer advocate and am very concerned about the stories of this company. I even called the Department of Revenue Services of Connecticut today regarding issues that others have raised. I have found out that they are not registered to do business in Connecticut and therefore have never remitted any sales taxes to this state. The company is obviously in a lot of trouble since it appears this is going on all around the country. Typically, in my experience, companies that do this are on their last legs and may only have a few weeks left in business.
I would highly suggest, that if you are a current consultant you contact your state immediately or you may be a party to any claims. Further, if you are considering this company to work with, please contact your state to verify what I and others have found as well - it will save you a lot of trouble and second guessing in the future.
