Ripoff, scammed consumer rip-off fraud

I hate to admit it; I was scammed. The advertisement offered a free DVD payer for applying online for a Gold Visa or Mastercard.

I noticed a discrepancy in my checking account. I called the number the bank gave me to reference the transaction. Before anyone would talk to me, they insisted on having an account number (which I had not) or my Social Security number.

Trying to resolve the problem, I reluctantly gave her my Social Security number. She seemed to have all the info on me. After repeatedly telling this woman that I did not authorize a bank draft, she transferred me to another woman. Of course she went through the same spill again. I was getting irate.

Finally the woman tells me my money would be credited back to my account on July 23. Today is July 25; No Money! By this time I am losing my patience. I insist that my money be returned to my account immediately.

I ask to speak to a manager, who keeps me on hold several minutes, Diane Yoder.By the way, the Customer Sevice Reps refused to give their last names. And Ms. Yoder semed hesitant about telling me hers.

Ms. Yoder assured me that their company was not in the business of taking money from people's bank accounts. Oh, this was after I told her that I was reporting them to the better business bureau.

Her explanation was lengthy and complicated. She firmly stated that my money would be back in my bank accout in 3-5 business day from today.

Do I beleive Ms. Yoder? I would like to BUT are stealing and lying the same as lying and stealing. If a thief steals money from you and denies it, thats the first lie. So why believe anything else they say.

... Continued... Later. Will my money be refunded or is this an expensive lesson I've learned? Honest people work hard for their money and we don't deserve to be conned like this.
