I happened to run upon a website while surfing the internet. It said that for a one-time deposit of only $25 dollars I could stuff envelopes and get paid for it. It had a place on the website for me to fill in and submit information about myself such as addy name and phone number.
I submitted my info to them and a week later I recieved a suspicious-looking and very poorly copied three page information packet from this supposed "company."
It had pictures the "hiring director"{John Craig" and the "President" of the Company, Robert Hancock. The letter promised me that I would be paid $1.40 for each and every envelope I stuff and mail for this "legitimate" company. I could do as few or as many envelopes a week as I wanted to according to this poorly copied over letter.
The letter was worded very slickly and smoothly with NO misspellings. Had it been more "official looking" instead of so poorly copied I would have no doubt feel for this scam. The letter promised me that if I only sent in the one time cost of $25 for materials and I would get the deposit back triple on my first check from them plus a sign-on bonus of $225.
But one for the first time in my life I used my better judgement and something my dad has always told me. If it's too good to be true it most likely is. I went onto Google Search and typed in the words JOHN CRAIG AND ROBERT HANCOCK. Guess where that Google Search led me? Right here to the complaint. Here there are at least 50 or 60 other complaints on this fraud and b.S. Of a company. Thanks complaint. I owe you one!
