I am a 2nd semester student at UCD who transferred from a community college. Myself and others have been repeatedly let down and badgered by financial aid counselors and bursar employees for expecting their offices to keep their deadlines. I know many students who have been expecting financial aid disbursement checks for weeks. Rent is late, bills are overdue, credit cards are overdue and all the counselors can say is "its not our fault you didn't plan correctly." But the fact is we planned on them to keep their word. Is that how we screwed up? I guess so. This is very disappointing and unprofessional.
