I started recieving these cardboard books a few weeks after my first daughter was born. The package said to open for a free book for my child. I sent them back immediately because I knew it was a scan to get me to buy more books. Months later I was still recieving these "free" books, so I finally decided to open it and read. I paid for one package of books then called the company to cancel.
After a year of recieving the first package I started getting bills for them. I called groiler to cancel and explain that I had sent them back. They said they cancelled the subscription and I owed nothing.
I then recieved more bills saying that my account was now delinquent. I once again called the company who told me this was another account. They stated there was an account in my name and in my daughters name. (This was a $54 bill) Again the account was cancelled and I instructed them to take me off of the mailing list.
Now four years later they are sending me Disney Calenders at $15.44 each. I purchased one because it was too late to send back according to the packing slip. Then started sending them back as they came in. I now have a $19.42 bill again with a deliquent account. I refuse to pay these bills!
There is no phone number to contact them now and the website is non-existing. I you read the small print it states:
"A special charge of $1.99 is added to each monthly reminder bill to cover postage and handling." I can't believe they are billing me for billing me!
This is an outrage and I hope someone can put a stop to this horrible business!
