Billed for the year when I have canceled during the 7 day trial Chicago

I wish I had read usacomplaints.com sooner. I got ripped off Highbeam worse than the last person who filled the report. I had an assignment to write and needed to read 1 article out of Highbeam. So I signed up for the 7 day trial. Read the artical and found it to be of no use. But kept the trial membership on for 2 more days till I finished the report. Then went into cancel. First time I clicked cancel, the site went an endless loop and never returned. So, I closed the browser, opened a new one and tried again. This time it redirected me to its artical page and logged me off when I clicked cancel. So, I assumed it was done.

Today, I got a call from my CC company telling me that I have been billed for $200. I told them that these guys should not be billing me as I have canceled my account. I went to the site and logged in. And sure enough, I was logged in and my billing history showed that I was billed $200! The site has failed to cancel my account and I have been billed for it!

Checked my inbox inside out, and there had been no mail from them other than the very first Welcome email. Never have they sent an invoice, acknowledged payment etc. I'd consider this as classic rip off behavior. I have deactivated my credit card and applied for anthoer. And I'm filing a dispute with the help of the bank. I'm not paying $200 for an article. I will try to get the site black listed from all the banks I can contact, so that nobody else falls in to this trap.
