My husband and I hired All My Sons Moving and Storage to move us a mere 15 minutes from our old home to our new home. They called us the night before to confirm. To begin with our appointment was at 8:30 and they confirmed it for "Some time after 12" After we protested that they told us 8:30, Ambrose stated "Nothing I can do about that, either 8:30 or we reschedule" We had no other choice because we had to be out of our old house for the new owners to move in.
There was no way we were getting movers on such short notice. The movers showed up at 12 P.M. Finally. When they moved our furniture they demolished a very expensive Wall Entertainment Unit and took my brand new crib apart for my child who is due to be born in 8 weeks!
They ripped the drawer out bending all the tracking and popping out the bearings. I was livid! When I called All My Sons and spoke to the director, Ambrose, he said to me "Oh so you think you're going to get a new crib out of this?" I just cried! I said to him "Not only the crib but the whole entertainment center is demolished, the wood is split in a million places, if I touch that thing its going to collapse" WARNING: All My Sons and Father & Sons Moving and Storage (Both the same company even though they say they're not) does not have a REFUND FOR DAMAGE POLICY!!!
If anything is damaged their process is to send a repairman from their office to try and "fix" what was broken. When I said to him "the unit is not repairable!" he stated "Well if its not, then theres nothing I can do, anything is fixable" I told him I was going to have my attorney look at his "claim" form and he said "Go right ahead, you and attorneys are a dime a dozen!
We've been in business for 16 years, who do you think will win?" I told him he was disgusting for treating a 8 month pregnant woman with such disrespect and he laughed and hung up on me. They also show in the yellow pages that they are a member of the Better Business Buereu when they aren't!!!
They don't take checks because they know you can stop payment, and if you don't pay them they won't release your furniture.
