Kaplan medical announced in June that they were raising the courses prices the following month. They offered students a promotion that if we put down $500 as a fee deposit, they will 'lock' the older price for that course ($1359 for Med-Pass 30 visit center prep) and the balance could be paid before starting the course. I specifically asked if this deposit was totally refundable and they confirmed that the deposit money will be totally refundable and I could take the course at any later date. Never verbally or in writing, I was ever told that I had to start the course within certain time period or the money would be forfeited. So I put $500 down and a few months later added another $359. After this I had to go to my country. When I came back, I requested to postpone the start date of my course, as I was expecting my son at that time. I found it even harder to attend the classes after his birth, so I requested the refund. The Boston center said they cannot refund money as its been over a year and I should contact the main office in California. Operators would put me on hold or give me the voice mails. I called the Boston center, their manager, the regional manager & even the hub office. Nobody ever returned my phone calls, nor e-mails. None, even once! I kept on calling & waiting & then reminding them again and again. Its an hard earned money coming out of a students pocket and I need it back.
