To start off and this might go to all Everest Schools in each city.
To start off the accredation that we receive at the school cannot go to any public college, the accredation can only go to other private schools.
Like for example:
1. Another Everest University
2. Concorde etc etc.
Next what you are suppose to be learning in at this school for your degree or certificate you are not learning and you can get a easy "A" by just going to class. You can even be watching T.V. Even though half of the time what you are watching has nothing to do with what you are studying for.
The teachers are always late for class but the expect there students to be there on time.
If there is a serious problem like: collegues trying to get into arguments with fighting they donot settle the dispute even when you tell the dean.
There was one time when a lady name Kathy Kimball (she is over the financial staff) she had got a call from a student who needed to talk to a dean about something really important. And the dean or whoever the student needed to talk to told kathy to tell them that he was not there and that he could not talk to the student. I believe that should have been handled in a better way since he is so professional.
There was a work study program for students that went to school there were in need of a job. I was one of there work study students. Without notation of us getting laid off (like 2weeks in advance). They just say your laid off with no care at all. They didnot care about the students that might have needed kathy kimball to tell them that they were getting laid off so that these students can find a job instead off finding out the last minute.
When you need to talk to the dean (they give us these cards with there number extentision # and email. Well with that information I was going through a confidential problem and I need there help I contacted Tameiko Allen Grant (The academic dean) and she did not contact via email nor by telephone.
You know how hard it is suppose to be in college well they made it so easy like we are on the 3rd grade level (with work that a 1st grader could do.
They tow peoples car out of the parking lot without notifying to the student with a warning. Or letting them know not to park there. Because sometimes the parking lot be full and they have no where else to park, they donot think about were they are parking if they know they are late for school and trying to quickly get to class.
I feel like I have not learn nothing in none of my classes and I feel like I should not have to pay them back the money that was disperse out for my tuition to go to college. I also feel degraded because I feel like I got a easy "A", nothing challenging in the classes as long as I have been there.
Also my fiance's brother goes to this college to for accounting and he said that he does not stay in those classes for the 4hrs he should be in there. The teacher just let them go after two hrs. And all he does is watch movies and these movies have nothing to do with what he is going there for. He does not learn nothing in those classes also.
My fiance also worked as a workstudy and since he had got out of everest and was on to his internship he had went to get his last check and cash it. A few weeks later he got a check for insuffiecient funds and he owed the bank -290$which this was not his fault. So we went to talk to a lady name chantelle who issued checks to the work study program, she said she would do something about it we check with her constantly about this problem and she said the check was on its way. Till this day she still has not notify us about the check. That showed me right there that was none of her problem even though she is over the workstudy program. And this not only happen to him but other students that work in workstudy as well.
The internship that they put him on was degrading and they gave him a hard time and what he had so called learned at school for medical billing and coding he was not utilizing that information at that job, they just had him stapling papers and sweeping, moving boxes and being treated unfairly.
One the internship coordinator Mrs. Gail had him work with her for the hrs that he needed to finish in order for him to graduate. But she is giving him a hard time. If it is something very important going on with his family and life she expects him to be there. He tries but with no transportation to get there form point A to Point B it is hard on him. But when he does make it on that day she should be there, she is not there and that be even more hard on him because he could of saved the gas he wasted from coming from the northside to the southside, that is really far and a lot of gas wasted. She should of least called and let him know that she is not going to be there. So that way he can save his gas. Also he told her that he was not going to make it this week and that he will be there next week and she had sympathy for him and agreed that he will be there Monday, but he hears the next day from his brother that she is going to kick him off the internship. Now does that makes since, he just told Mrs. Gail the day before that he was not going to make it this week but will be there next week. And she still said that she is going to kick him off the internship.
One of the assoicates that work for career services, me as a Medical Assistant there felt useless when she said this" Why do you need a 2yr assocaites degree? I mean come on" she was talking to another student. I feel like that was wrong and unprofessional.
Please help me with this, because I really do feel like this need to be resolved especially with me having to pay the school for something I didnot learn at all.
