I just finished the required class materials for the Med Assistant program. I took the online exam, which I was surprised that it wasnt much, 25 short answer questions. I have a 2 year college degree and never took a final exam that short for so much material. I submitted my exam and still ahve not heard back from the so called Testing Center.
The required text explained alot and was acurate (my mom is a nurse and she helped me with some of the material). I looked into taking the exam to become registered and since the program stated many times that they were certified and accreditated I didnt think anything else of it, well when I went to fill out the application for certification I relized I can not go any further since the program is not affliated or accreditated by a reputable establishment in the US. It is in the Virgin Islands and uses a US address to recieve mail and emails and the phone number ius for the birds since you only get the same recording.
I am truly disappointed. I learned alot for the material but cant do anything with what I have learned. I feel I was taken advantage of and lied to. The material said you could work in the field and become a medical assistant. I wanted to go on and become registered and certified and now I feel I have wasted my time and this so called place has taken my money.
