On October 16 I sent a check for the amount of $21.95 for three pairs of the genuine suede moccasin slippers. The J.D. Marvel Products Inc advertisment flyer was in my local newspaper, The Houston Chronicle. It stated delivery would be within 4-6 weeks. My check was cashed on October 24.
By December 9, no shoes had arrived. I wrote the company asking what the status was on my order including a copy of the canceled check. To this day I have received no response to my inquiry or the shoes.
I tried locating them on the internet to get a phone number, much to my surprise they aren't listed. Trying to contact them by phone or e-mail is not possible. They don't anwser letters, have a phone number, e-mail or website. How convient for them.
My biggest shock was seeing the numerous complaints against this so-called company on the Usa Consumer Complaints.com website. If I had known there even one person with a problem, I would not have placed an order.
I want to know how a ripoff company can continue to operate without being held accountable to what I call theft. It is obvious their deceptive "business" is flourishing by the numerous complaints. Their motto should be "take the money and keep the product."
The end result: I got the shaft... Not the shoes.
