Rich Dad Education, Wealth Intelligence BEWARE! Salt Lake City Utah Salt Lake City Utah

August 1
Sound like many of us were drawn into the same marketing scam for the three day course which was just a bait and switch for high price education courses.

Here is an example of how one of the Rich Dad Education (aka Wealth Intelligence) phone pitches work

(Note that we were told up front our conversation would be recorded)

My wife went to the three day course but did not sign up for the education courses. It was typical sleazy tactics of pressure selling that all of you have already reported on this site; "Go home tonight and raise your credit limits on your cards" "You have to sign up for these courses TODAY if you want the discounted price" etc. Etc. Other posts have covered this bait and switch tactic very well.

Well let me tell you, even if you don't sign up for the $9000 - $50000 course packages at the 3 day course, they still will call you at home and try to sign you up. So we listened to this first guy from Salt Lake City Utah (the screener) who was going to determine if we were privileged enough to talk to the real expert on the Rich Dad Education series. The screener kept referring to the expert with the very distinguished and impressive sounding name of "Mr. Stockholm". It was Mr. Stockholm this and Mr. Stockholm that. Well my gosh, is HE is WILLING to talk to us then aren't we just so privileged!

Well the package that we were offered that would be just right for us was: software, two advanced training courses and 12 months of telephone coaching for the amazing price of $16,358. Obviously alarm bells sounded immediately. I ask him that if we're interested in buying rental properly, does the coach provide advice on how to manage the property, contracts, insurance etc? He says oh yeah we offer full support to our students (but doesn't mention any specifics about expertise they have in managing rentals).

So after about an hour of tired sales clichs and tactics (You would agree that investment in your future is important, wouldn't you), Mr. Stockholm slips up when I ask him for testimonials (take careful notes here Mr. Stockholm). He says they've been in business for 23 years and have many successful examples of students who have gone on to great wealth. 23 YEARS? That was about the time Kiyosaki was broke and eating a bucket of chicken and a six pack of beer in a hotel room with his wife pondering their future. So was this really Rich Dad Education or not? I asked him how long have they been with Rich Dad and he said about a year. Hmmm Time to go to the internet. That's when I found this site.

So Mr. Stockholm is babbling on and on in the speaker phone and we're surfing the net finding out all these horror stories about Wealth Intelligence and this Russ Whitney guy and how Rich Dad is being sued by his former partner about the education series etc.

Now the entire exchange with "Mr. Stockholm" goes on for about 2 hours and we both know we're not going anywhere near this but we hear him through and he finally asks about our interest level. I said something like well I'm not 100% sure and we need to talk this over and I need to research your company blah blah blah. Well then mr. Stockholm changed his tone completely. He seemed very nervous and defensive and says their company has great prestige because Rich Dad's name is now associated with it and then decides we're just not right for their team and that he is withdrawing the offer and suggests we go to the website if we're still interested. Clearly he wanted off the phone immediately.

So no harm done except for 2 hours wasted time but thank you "Mr. Stockholm" because we did indeed get a great education from you. However it certainly is disappointing to find out what the Rich Dad Education company has morphed into.
