Pitiful students showed up at my door begging me to help them with "charitable hospital magazine subscription" so they could win a contest... I let myself be suckered in and bought two subscriptions at $40.00 each for two years. They promised my check would be held 20 days. Written information gives three business days to cancel and original check will be returned. I cancelled my subscription in writing the next day, but lo and behold, the checks were cashed 2 days later. No way to reach anyone, no way to reach the "poor students."
