When I called to inquire about some information several months ago, I was talked into signing up for coaching. I was hesitant as I am in commission sales and my income is frequently not steady. I explained this to the man on the phone. And I thought the cost of $289.50/month was more than I could do. He assured me that I could try it and if it became too much I could cancel it.
After paying through March, I could no longer afford it and contacted their representative at his direct extension. He asked how long I needed to put a hold on the coaching. I told him I wasn't sure because I had other bills I had to take care of. Then he said they would wait until the 12th of April. I asked him to call me before charging my account again. He did not. The March charge was reversed. But after that, charges to my credit card resumed. I went ahead with another month of coaching, through April.
On May 13th I called the company again and talked to the same representative and explained that I could no longer continue. He said he would see what he could do about getting credit for my account. Credit was not forthcoming.
One June 12th I noted that another charge of $289.50 was charged to my credit card and that put me over my credit limit. I freaked out. I called the credit card company to file a dispute. Now they had billed me 2 additional months that I requested be discontinued. The credit card company cancelled the card they were using and gave me a new #. But I can't use that card because the charge is still in dispute.
I left several messages for the representative. When I did get him on the phone he assured me that I would get credit and he would talk to his accounting department. I explained that they really screwed up my account because now I could not use the card because of the dispute pending resolution.
Today, July 7th I finally got a call from their 'manager', Julie. She said not only would I not get crredit but I still owed them over $500!! I explained that the reason I had to cancel the service was because I didn't have the income to support it. She was totally unsympathetic and said they would put me in collection for the balance.
Now she claimed that they had a different way of calculating the balance owed and that the materials they sent me along with the coaching sessions at the rate of $170/each were being charged to me. I told her this was never explained to me. She basically did not care and said if I didn't pay them it would go to collection. I told her go ahead. There is nothing I can do inasmuch as I don't have the money to pay that. But also I am upset because I was told I would get credit for both May and June, since that is when I attempted to cancel the service. I told her I thought they were a high pressure, dishonest organization.
Now I am out $579 and being threatened with collection! I think this organization is a bunch of thieves and liars and they know just what to say to prey on people to part you with your money.
