Unauthorized Withdrawals from Checking Account

Thankfully, I check my bank account often. I noticed two separate withdrawals of $1 each - one from UMG-MYAD and one from UMG-BUYE. Both had the same telephone number after them: (888) 673-1304. I first googled the number and saw right away that I should be concerned due to the many scams reported with this company.

I called the number, talked to a nice woman named Angela and explained the situation. She searched, unsuccessfully, for any reason that would link me to the company or a reason behind the charges. She said that she would relay my information to her supervisor, who would get back to me within 24 hours. Regretfully, after much hesitation, but with her assurance that any information I gave her would only be used to find the reason for the charges, I did give her more personal information.

Also, MYAD apparently stands for "My Advisor" and BUYE is "Buyer's Edge."

I will contact my bank ASAP to notify them of this scam, as time is of the essence. I may also have to cancel my credit card.
