Penn foster sent me a collection account a few weeks ago. Well i disputed it because i had an account in 2001 with education direct which was paid out. Education direct and penn foster are the same thing. Pen foster is saying that i opened an account with them in 2005 which i did not. Education direct and penn foster is not accredited in louisiana. This is the reason i closed out the education direct account its not worth my time and hard earned money.
I did end up going through an adult center in my local town and got my ged. Now all of a sudden i keep getting a collection account for 540.00 i disputed this and they keep saying that i have to pay this because its my account. I would never recomend anyone to get an account with them because there not accredited. Who would want just a paper that is worthless. I know i sure dont. I have tried to settle this in many ways and the only answers i get is you have to pay the 540.00. There should be a law against these companys like this. They shouldent be able to just charge u for whatever they feel like.
I will dispute this tell the day i die.
