I recieved this letter from Citizens Trust INC PO Box 1445 New York NY 10019 Loss prevention management center grants, settlements management, Inspectorate and payment verification Center. Sounded pretty official. I was confused it states somthing about home improvement and and enclosed is a check for $4,940 DOLLARS. It looked like a real check.
Confused because i have never applied for a grant wondered how i could win one. It says to call the 1 800 number and and speak to ur claim manager ask for amy taylor or Mathew Robinson. Well out of curiousity i did this. I never got a hold of anyone they said all circuits r busy.
Anyways my GF came home and read it and said its fake. She said it was some kind of scam. She said take to the bank they will tell you its fake. She said you dont win grants. So i took it to the bank and they told me it was a real check but they called the bank where it said it was from and they had no check number by that. So then we knew it was a scam the bank made copies and are distributing them to other banks to help ppl from gettin scammed. All I have to is be carefull what u think ur opening it may be a scam. Thank god my GF is very smart.
