CTI sent me a seemingly official letter stating that I had been approved for a Home Improvement Grant that I never applied for. Enclosed in the letter was a check for $4960.00. The letter asked me to call a number to activate the check and file my claim to receive $39,000.00. I called the number provided and never did succeed in reaching anyone. I also called the number for the Bank listed on the check... Same story. If you have received this letter and think it's too good to be true, you're right.
