I advertised my house for sale in a local paper & was approached by Ron at Top Dog Leasing. He told me he could have my house leased within 7-10 days as they had a lot of corporate clients back east that needed to relocate to my area. He assured me that his company had been in business for 20 years.
They guaranteed the tenant for one year, and if for some reason the tenant left before that time, top dog would rent to someone else at no charge. They also would oversee the property for the first year.
Ron met with the tenant at his place of work to pick up a deposit check from him. After it was cashed by Ron I never heard from him again. He stopped answering or returning my calls and e-mails. Then today I received a check from Ronald W. Hubbard on his personal check for half the amount that the tenant had given him. I immediately went to the bank to see if the funds were there and of course, they were not.
Needless to say, the tenant and myself are intelligent people and can't believe that we were both taken by this con artist.
