The Zaken Company
Scam Rip off con artists

The Zaken company offered to "allow" me to do liquidation merchandise finding for them. I was to call companies and try to find people who had merchandise to liquidate. I would then have them send samples to the Zaken company, supposedly for them to show prospective buyers. They charged me $168 for a "startup kit" and the right to do finding for them.

They also sold a lifetime membership directory of companies I could use to help find merchandise. This cost another $499. They also sold stationary for another $168. Adding in the cost of a Voice mail line the total cost was almost $1,000. They claimed that these fees were refundable upon receipt of our first commission from a completed resale. They also claimed that we would receive 50%-70% of the profits as our commission.

The original offer stated that they only wanted 50 people to do this work for them so that there would not be too many people trying to find merchandise for liquidation. I found out through a former employee of the company that they were signing up close to 4,000 people every month.

It turns out they have no intention of reselling any merchandise that was found by their finders. They were just taking the fees they collected and any merchandise sent from companies intended as samples and just sitting on it. Thus there were never any commissions sent out, so none of the fees were to be refunded.

Some details of things went... When I would call them to ask a question or check up on something, I was ususally forced to leave a message. I have never had anyone return my call. So I call back and say I'll sit on hold until my contact was available. 15 minutes later I get this guy on the phone and he proceeds to give me the run around to placate me. When I asked about samples that were sent by the merchandisers I had made deals with, he would say, "I have not received them yet." I called one of my merchandisers and tracked the UPS shipment to the person who had signed for the package. It had been signed for many days before, so it was becoming clear they were full of it. I never made any money from them.

In short, the Zaken company has no intention of upholding its end of the bargain and their REAL business is to get people to send them money for a deal that will never be met.

If you hear of anyone working for the Zaken company or Quick-Sell associates, do not do business with them and tell them about the scam.
