Stan called me and offered me a settlement for a credit card that I was VERY late on. I accepted the settlement and we arranged for two payments to come out of my account at the very end of two different months. Both months, Stan took the money early and put my account into the negative.
When I called to discuss what could be done, Stan was very rude. He told me that it was all my fault. I was making an effort to correct my credit and pay the money that I owed and he told me off! He later agreed to credit my account with the first payment because he made the mistake. At the end of the first month, I recieved two checks in the mail to reimburse me for the fee's and for the credit to my account.
The very beginning of the next month, Stan took out the money and put my account into the negative again. This time he told me that he never said he would credit my account for the previous mistake and that since they were charged money for my account, I would have to send a money order payment in order to be reimbursed for the fee I was charged. So, my bank covered the amount that was taken out and I was charged a fee but, Stan said that there was no proof of them recieving the money and until there was, there was nothing that they could do. He refused to let me speak to his manager and did not give me the correct number or extension of his boss.
