Employee credit card fraud, scandalous billing practices and poor imanagement

On Aug 15th iapplied for and recieved an Best buy credit card and purchase 1 GPS System for $499.00 A month later when i recieve my bill it had a balance owed of $2000.00. When i called the customer service to complain of this they assured me it was just a glitch in the system and i made two payments on my account. As time passed i realized that the excess balance had not been corrected and went to the store and spoke with a manager, who did some research and discovered that when i recieved my card on the 15th of August there was a purchase made on my account hours after i left of a plasma television for $1600.00 I was informed that this pratice was highly unusual since it would have required a overide authorization by a manager to complete the transaction when info did not match. It was also revealed that some of the employees there had been fired to a scaming ring which involved some employees including some managers. Icomplained to the main headquarters who stated they launched a investigation and sent me a letter stating that they found no mishandling of my acount and i would be held responsible for all charges. There was a total of three investigations that took place before the realized what took place. I, stopped paying on my account since the percentage they charged me was based on my total amount i owed which was incorrect. I had numerous calls to me attempting to pressure me to pay up. I was told by the store in Va that a police report for fraud would be generated and this would be resolved. Years later my balance due is well over $2000 dollars due to late charges and other fees that they continue to charge despite the fact i took all proper steps and complained to them several times. There was proof from the local store as to what happened but the company, turned a deaf ear and sent my account into a collection status thus impacting my credit history. From a debt of less than $500, to over $ ineffective investigative system especially when the evidence was readily available.
