I registered for Kaplan Online to pursue Business. But after registering, my ISP started to have oputages, so even before I started classes, I canceled my registeration and withdrew.
Now, I keep getting phone calls daily, some days 3-times a day. And I got an invoice for $1675. I emailed finance@kaplan. Edu, only for the email to be returned as UNDELIVERABLE. I then emailed the academic advisor, which they forwarded to their collections dept.
I asked for a description of my charges, but they will not provide anything, and they INSIST I call them.
But I know how powerful a voice is because I hear they are VERY skilled in talking people into paying.
By email, I was threatened that if I don't pay, my account will be sent to a collections company and my credit will be compromised.
I thought I was doing business with a college in Davenport Iowa. But, I see on their invoice 2 different addresses, one in FL and the other in TX. When I googled Kaplan Online or Kaplan University, I see even MORE addresses in other states.
As you can see, I'm cautious about even using my real name on this website. What can I do to keep them from damaging my credit and delete this bogas bill??
