My girlfriend was selling her computer on craigslist, and was contacted by an individual with the Email address "[email protected]" The agreed upon price was $200. Later, she recieved a check from a university for $3000. When she contacted him about it, he said to take her $200, and to give the rest to his shipper when he picked up the computer. At this point, she assumed it was some sort of scam, so she backed out. Later, he sent her an email, titled "YOU ARE GOING TO BE ARRESTED BY FBI IF I COULD NOT HEAR ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN"

We responded, telling him that we would have no part in this, and immediately started doing research. And found another occurence in West Virginia where he ripped off another woman for $700 by using a fake shipping company.
