WorldWide Preferred Publishers Service sent a past due bill for $39.00 to our home address. It was addressed to my husband. Under past due amount was note that: "A payment of 1157.10 will pay your entire balance." Past due notice did not identify the nature of the supposed purchase. An account number was given on the bill.
When I called (888-875-3259) to inquire about the bill, I was told it was a billing error. I asked the company's representative if I could disregard the bill. The answer was yes since it was a billing error. No further followup by the company was offered.
After the phone call, I decided to report as a scam. My husband is ill and doesn't place any orders or pay bills. Sounds like a fishy operation to me.
