Beachbody, Distributed By Product Partners, BeachBody Debited my account for an order I did not confirm. Round Rock, Texas

Sun. 1-13: I went to the Beachbody website to find out what programs they offer. I started to order the P90X Extreme Training system but stopped short of confirming the order. Later that day when I checked my email, I had an email from Beachbody confirming my order. I immediately emailed them and let them know that they did not have authorization to remove money from my account. I received no response.

Beachbody's site states the following:

Question: Can I cancel my order?
Answer: In most cases we cannot cancel your order as it will have entered our system and processed for shipment overnight. We can only cancel orders that have not been processed for shipment. If you call us in the early morning, the day after you place your order we may be able to cancel your order before processing.

We cannot cancel the same day you ordered, as your order will not have been input into our Customer Service system.

If we are not able to cancel your order when you call, it's okay! You still have the money-back guarantee and can call us for return instructions.

The only exceptions may be orders that have gone into backorder and orders with a declined credit card that has not been successfully processed yet.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and assure you that our overnight processing is done to assure the fastest delivery possible to the majority of our customers who do want their orders. Thank you for your understanding.

Mon. 1-14,8 AM: After researching the Beachbody website I secured a phone number (1-800-207-0420) and contacted a customer service rep. To whom I explained that I never ordered the item. She stated had already sent the order. I informed her that it was illegal to take money out of my account without authorization and this was a fraudulent transaction. I asked her if this happens frequently and she stated No, she had never heard of this before. She provided me with Supposedly the Corporate Beachbody number to explain that I never submitted the order: 1-800-240-1068, which is nothing more than another number for their general customer service.

Fri. 1-18: Received Beachbody pkg. (shipment overnight).

Sat. 1-19 AM: Returned pkg. To Beachbody paying $8.79 to return the item I never ordered.

Fri. 1-25: After confirming a receipt of the item through USPS I again contacted Beachbody customer service via the Corporate Beachbody number and spoke with Alma stating that my expectation was to receive a FULL refund of all monies for this product plus my cost to ship back an item I never ordered. Alma stated that as a courtesy she would credit the amount of refund (not stating the exact amount) but she could not refund my postage. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that she was on another line but Alma would request that she call me back.

Fri. 1-25 4 hours later: I called back to the customer service via the Corporate Beachbody number and spoke with Tray explaining that I never received a call back and the entire non-ordering scenario again and he said he would make an exception and handle this himself by issuing a credit for my postage for $8.79.

Tuesday 1-29: I checked my online bank account and see that on 1/28 Beachbody issued a return credit for $49.84 which left a difference of $21.60 in Beachbody's favor, not to mention the loss of my $8.79. So I am at a loss of $30.39 for a product that I never ordered in the first place. I once again contact customer service via the Corporate Beachbody number and requested a supervisor to which I was told by Chris 181 that he could not transfer me to a supervisor until he attempted to resolve the situation.

I once again explained in detail my situation, my dis-satisfaction with this seemingly fraudulent activity, my desire to resolve this reasonably and requested the refund of all shipping costs. He stated that he could not refund my shipping costs. I once again requested to speak with a supervisor and was told that Anna the supervisor had previously reviewed this issue and the result was conveyed through the customer service rep to me.

I requested to speak with Anna five different times while Chris 181 argued that they would not refund additional charges to my account and that they had refund my account in full. I was told that Anna was on another line and that Chris had to attend to 21 other callers that were waiting in queue for him. After more argument, my loss of composure and repeatedly stating that this practice was fraudulent and that I would take additional measures to pursue fraud charges against Beachbody. Chris 181 stated that I should then pursue filing a suit of some kind against Beachbody. I disconnected the call at that point.

I spent more hours with my bank discussing this fraud and was referred to usacomplaints.com where I found other complaints for fraud that had been reported against this company to date, some that were identical to my experience. I will pursue this with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) and every additional consumer agency that I can find as this is a Consumer SCAM of enormous proportions.
