As a first time owner of an Apple iPod i was trying to download the necessary software that is needed to convert music and movies to mp3 and aac formats.
In my looking for downloads, I was directed to download Quicktime player and the google toolbar and updates.
In that process I came across an offer to join a lifetime membership to iTunes which would give me unlimited downloads for music and movies for $49.90.
I considered myself to be reasonably intelligent and try to read all disclosures and disclaimers available before I commit myself and my money to most things.
Now I understand how the elderly get ripped-off so easily by deceptive offers made by wolves in sheep clothing.
After receiving my information (my username and password) from clkbank*com I went out to the iTunes website and tried to enter into the store with my promised username and password.
After many unsuccessful attempts of trying to access iTunes, I even e-mailed them for help.
I decided that maybe I needed to open an account. What I discovered was that iTunes was expecting me to pay for downloads. More money.
That's when I knew that I had been decieved. I tried to cancel my membership but my e-mail attempts to clkbank*com kept bouncing back.
I contacted the e-mail address that they had given my for my lifetime membership to http://members-site.net and they guided me to [email protected].
After telling them ([email protected]) to cancel my membership, they e-mailed me back and claimed that they needed all kind of information in order to refund my money.
This is a copy of their response:

I provided them with this information and they have yet confirmed my e-mail reply or refund my money.
I know that I have been ripped-off by being ignorant and gullible. So if you get to read this report please don't make the same mistake that I have made.
It's a shame what the Internet and America has come to. It's not the same world that I grew up in.
