First American Investment is showing up as a negative mark on my credit report. After several attempts of calling and leaving numerous messages, I did receive a call back. The lady I spoke with listened to what I had to say and she then told me that she did not show anything on me and that she would have to do some "investigating". Here it is 2 weeks later and I have not heard a word from her. I managed to call the main number and talked to the receptionist who told me that the person I originally spoke too, her calls were being handled by someone else at this time. I do not know if it is permanent, temporary or what. There is now a recorded message with the option of Ext. 101 - Credit Resolution, Ext. 102 - Credit Reporting, or Ext. 103 - Credit Dispute. I have been unable to talk to a live person for a week, not counting the receptionist at the main number who informed me that someone would be listening to messages and return my call. I went to each separate extention as listed above and left a message and have yet to have anyone call me back. I am attempting to call them to find out how I go about finding out why if the previous person could not locate my name, why are they reporting negatively on my credit report and also, if this is a true charge, I would like to settle.
