I am a first time home owner, a small condo in California. I became deathly ill, though recently learned I will not die. I wanted to pay part of my mortgage or re-negotiate. No one would listen. I abandoned my home, asking for foreclosure. It stands empty, five months later. I owe so much money, paying for my apartment, and now HOA, while ill. I am now trying to quit claim it to them. I continue to have to pay HOA until ASC takes over legally.
My former neighbors are unhappy my home sits empty, in a high demand area for homes. I do not want to rent it out, because it does not feel like mine now that I have stopped paying on it. No one who calls me knows anything, and continues to call me at my work. They just keep saying, pay, when how can I pay five months mortgage? I am a high school teacher.
Amounts increase, my home heartbreakingly stands empty, and now I don't want to move back, and definitely do not want to deal with this poorly run company. No one I talk with has any answers, and I cannot afford more attorneys to help make a company foreclose, which they threaten to do on a regular basis, though this may stop shortly now that my bankruptcy is final, a bankruyptcy that may not have had to happen if this company has allowed me to renegotiate my mortgage when I needed to make financial decisions in summer 2007.
