Jennifer D. Came to my door and said her parents live in my community. She was on a volleyball team, but not in college.
She was raising money for her volleyball team so that they could take a trip to Hawaii. She was very bubbly and vivacious. She asked for $96. I said I could not do that. So, she reluctantly said I could make it $48.
In return for the $48, my grandson in Virginia would receive a catalog from which he could order free books.
Later, after my check had been cashed, I began asking my daughter if she had received the catalog — of course, she had not. I then began looking at my receipt. Jennifer had written "TX" in state box for my grandson; it should have been "VA". She had the correct address and zip code.
I have called Quality Subscriptions, Inc. Several times and always the person I need to talk to is not available; I have left two messages, but have not received a call back. Their voice mail message indicates if I am calling about a subscription, please allow 90 — 120 days for processing. Of course, this is not a subscription.
