Joannessa Clawson was previously reported on this site for a wedding photography scam that has resulted in a class action lawsuit in the amount of $200,000.00 from a firm in San Diego called Morrison and Foerster. The suit is ongoing.
She is now attempting a bankruptcy filing, presumably to evade fraud charges. During this time she has stolen personal checks and a state I.D. From a coworker and is currently cashing them in the Southern California area.
She also allegedly is involved in a check cashing scam that involves her own grandmother's banking account that she is fraudulently using by depositing checks to that account in an ATM. She also allegedly has not paid income tax in 3 years and fraudulently is on a state health insurance program.
Her latest scam is posing as a health care worker and she uses her mother as a job reference.
